What if I eat blue berry’s anti oxidizes to use reduction can I eat normal vegetables oils

  2. @candaniel on December 17, 2024 at 4:47 pm

At 6:00 and 6:30 Dr. Ekberg speaks about E. V. Olive oil as if it is a saturated fat that can be used as fuel, what’s up with that? Can the body use mono unsaturated fats from olive oil as fuel as well or was that a mistake?

  3. @candaniel on December 17, 2024 at 4:48 pm

At 6:36 Dr. Ekberg says that saturated fats will be burned as fuel by the body AS LONG as there is no insulin. What happens when you eat saturated fats together with carbs? Will it change the way saturated fats are handled by the body?

Unrelated question but should there not be a ban on catching and selling predatory fish ? I know you cannot help what a net might pull up but I think that if we ban the targeted fishi g of predatory fish over time we might make an impact on mercury in the sea ? Let these fish absorb the bulk of mercury and over time the percentage of mercury in fish over all would diminish , or is the mercury problem so much bigger than that ? Probably so , I guess

I tried peanut butter, but it gave me immense allergies, so I stopped eating it and switched it with cheese, natural yoghurt for quick protein. Be careful with seeds as well especially they tend to get mold easily. I’ll be buying seeds, brazil nuts, walnuts and cashews in lower amounts than 1kg, preferably 200g so it doesn’t last long and has less chances of getting mold

If I add fat to my diet it goes very well the first few days. But then my body starts to become intolerant to the fat and I get discomfort in the thyroid gland. It is worst with coconut oil, but also butter, lard and olive oil give me discomfort in the body if I eat too muchand too many days in a row.

  25. @TinaICXCNIKA on December 17, 2024 at 5:16 pm

My concern with Salmon (Wild caught Atlantic, too) is Microplastics. I know we can only do our best but sometimes the choice of deciding, is so confusing.

Doc, You probably forgot Ghee, the natural saturated fat ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey, so eating sesame seed paste raw is ok as long as it is not toasted or roasted…..? As in the risk of omega 6 inflammation.

  38. @MichaelMa on December 17, 2024 at 5:29 pm

Dr. Ekberg, I collected beef fat after making bone broth and decided to make my eggs with it instead of olive oil. But I get consistent mild headaches when I do. I usually have 2 eggs that are soft cooked in low heat. Is this too much saturated fat at once?

  39. @armaanchawdhary9427 on December 17, 2024 at 5:30 pm

Ex. Virigin Olive oil is not saturated fat. It is primarily monounsaturated.

  40. @candaniel on December 17, 2024 at 5:31 pm

You said that it is okay to eat lots of saturated fats as long as one keeps the carbs down, because then the saturated fats get burned as fuel. While I appreciate the knowledge and the think the keto diet is interesting, I don’t see how I can go low carb yet (I love fruits, grains, honey etc too much). If I eat a moderate amount of carbohydrates, how should my fat consumption look? Does it matter if I eat more saturated fats vs mono- vs polyunsaturated fats on a moderate/high carb diet? An answer would be highly appreciated!

  41. @georgeelmerdenbrough6906 on December 17, 2024 at 5:32 pm

There is a local " Dr " here in my state that is spamming your channel with videos posing as ads . He is just piggybacking and I am sick of hearing " Dr Kevin " and suggest he get a channel of his own .

  42. @stevewhalen6973 on December 17, 2024 at 5:33 pm

  43. @Straightdeal on December 17, 2024 at 5:35 pm

What would a good ratio be for saturated/poly/mono daily intake be, e.g. 20%/10%/70%? I log what I eat now, and the app gives me the percentage saturated fat of my total daily intake, which is mostly at least 20%.

  44. @carlton7015 on December 17, 2024 at 5:36 pm

  46. @franny5047 on December 17, 2024 at 5:40 pm

Thank you for all your videos, Dr. Ekberg. What if a person has rheumatoid arthritis?
Can a low carb, high fat diet be bad ? I get confused because I’ve read that
saturated fats can trigger inflammation. Keep up the great work ๐Ÿ™‚

  47. @Damudean on December 17, 2024 at 5:44 pm

Iโ€™m looking for a breakdown of how fats work in our body. I find it strange you think seed fats are okay.

  48. @KazK-yj6in on December 17, 2024 at 5:44 pm

What are the building blocks of fat

  49. @georgefudjoe5760 on December 17, 2024 at 5:46 pm

I’m located in west Africa where palm oil, palm kennel oil and shea butter is a staple on cooking … are these are good fats to use in place of olive oil at least? Coconut oil is already a staple

  50. @magekn on December 17, 2024 at 5:46 pm

I wonder why so many sites say things like ‘Saturated foods that include red meat, beef, lard, shortening and oils can also worsen glaucoma’?
